In this role, Material Handlers will lead and assist in all tasks and projects as assigned by the Materials Managers. All roles at GE are cross trained. You may be asked to cover another area as needed as a Material Handler as needed.<h2></h2><h2>Position</h2>Material Handler - Zone lead - Receiving<h2></h2><h2>Location</h2>USA, Camden, SC<h2>How You'll Create Possibilities</h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Essential results-based duties<ul><li>Loading and unloading of shipments</li><li>Assist in comparing purchase orders with invoices, BOLs and packing list to ensure accuracy</li><li>Safe handling of all materials and finished goods</li><li>Organize and ensure received items are in the appropriate areas</li><li>Putting away of received material in correct storage locations</li><li>Accurately picking and line delivery of material timed per production needs</li><li>Assist in processing of returns for incorrect or non-conforming parts</li><li>Assist in conducting regular cycle counts</li><li>Assist in recycling material and waste in the warehouse</li><li>Perform regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouse</li><li>Loading and unloading of Finished goods</li><li>Assist in maintaining cleanliness and 5S in all warehouse areas</li><li>Ability to give suggestions for operating improvements</li><li>Understand and carryout detailed oral and/or written instructions</li><li>Flex when needed to cover other material handlers </li><li>Aid in managing storage and appropriate return of returnable containers to suppliers</li><li>Notify Supervisor or Upper Management of any issues that need immediate attention</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Flexibility in schedule to work overtime as required.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience on-the-job forklift experience</li><li>Must be able to maintain a up to date GEA forklift license per EHS guidelines</li><li>Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Â </li><li>Positive work ethic and attitude; willingness to learn and meet expectations of the various assignments</li><li>Dependability; demonstrate and maintain good attendance and punctuality</li><li>Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions</li><li>Deftness and attention to detail</li><li>Be able to pass both stand-up forklift, stock chaser, tugger and sit-down forklift test and MEO fit test as well.</li><li>CandidateÂ must possess interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentÂ </li><li>Positive work ethic and attitude; willingness to learn and meet expectations of the various assignments</li></ul><h2>What You'll Bring to Our Team</h2>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS systems, and other shipping systems.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word,Â andÂ PowerPointÂ </li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Physical working conditions:</li><li>Wear safety attire or proper PPE daily</li><li>Usually work indoors.
